The short version
This website is deliberately light on tracking. It sets no advertising cookies, loads no third-party tracking scripts, and stores nothing in your browser beyond what is needed for the site to work as you expect.
Analytics and marketing categories exist in the preference interface so they can be enabled if we add such a tool in future. Until you turn them on, nothing in those categories runs.
What we actually store today
- xalicon.cookie-preferences — records your cookie choices so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Stored in local storage, kept until you clear your browser data.
- xalicon.announcement.dismissed — records that you dismissed the announcement bar. Stored in local storage, kept until you clear your browser data.
- Session security tokens — set by our hosting platform when you submit a form, to protect against cross-site request forgery. These expire with your session.
Categories in the preference interface
- Essential — required for the site to function, including form security and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — would tell us which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Off by default; nothing in this category is currently loaded.
- Marketing — would measure the performance of campaigns that bring people to the site. Off by default; nothing in this category is currently loaded.
Changing your choice
Clear your browser’s site data for this domain and the preference banner will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently.
You can also block or delete storage for this site entirely through your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you from using the site; you will simply see the cookie banner and announcement bar again each visit.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we set no analytics or advertising cookies by default, this site already behaves as these signals request. If we add analytics in future, we will honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out.
